ScanLink Corp. will use the PPT2800 Mobile terminal as its main data collection solution for it customer. The Pocket PC Operating System will allow for ease of application programming and data management. The Pocket PC platform gives the customer a data communication protocol that will allow data transfer of information from the field to an FTP server through an existing cellular phone handset. ScanLink has worked closely with the cellular provide to insure connectivity to the internet that will reduce the users time in getting the information from the field to its customer not to mention the reduce data entry and tracking at the main headquarters. IDM and ScanLink are providing the complete solution from the field to the information gathering in the main headquarters. The solution provides quoting and historical information that currently is in paper format.
